Lesson Policies 

Invoices and Payments:

  • Invoices will be sent to parents at the end of each month, detailing the lessons for the upcoming month.

  • Pre-payment is required for the entirety of each month's lessons, and payment is due on the first day of the month.

  • A late fee of $50 will be applied for each day the payment is late.

Cancellations Before Monthly Invoice:

  • Cancellations must be made before the monthly invoice is sent at the end of each month. Cancellations made at this time will be processed without charge.

Cancellations After Payment (During the Month):

  • If a lesson needs to be cancelled during the month (e.g., due to illness), the lesson will be rescheduled, but no refunds will be provided for missed lessons after payment is made.

  • Parents are required to contact Jerry directly to request a make-up lesson date.

Teacher Cancellations:

  • If Jerry needs to cancel a lesson, the missed lesson fee will be applied as a credit for the following month. This will be reflected as a discount on the monthly invoice or refunded upon request.

Trial Lesson:

  • Jerry offers a free trial lesson to new students. During the free trial, Jerry will go through a typical lesson with the new student, and afterwards discuss learning goals/intentions with the student and parents. After Jerry’s approval, and mutual acceptance following the trial, formal lessons will begin.

 

Holidays and Break Times:

  • Holiday and break times will be discussed on an individual basis at least one month in advance to accommodate scheduling. Parents must contact Jerry directly to make these arrangements.

 

Agreement to Policies:

  • By hiring Jerry for piano lessons, you have read and agreed to all of the above policies.
